Demon Days is a profoundly irreverent adult comedy, but at its core, it is a tale about family. Carl, the protagonist, was separated from his parents shortly after his birth (or so he thinks) and was sent to Hell. This isn’t your biblical version of Hell. Instead, Hell is America… Eternal. Carl, keeping the faith, dedicates himself to being good so that one day he may be rescued and reunite with his parents who he believes are in Heaven. His journey kicks into gear when Jesus Christ mysteriously shows up in the underworld and he and Carl plan an escape together, but first have to traverse the 9 circles (or cities) of Hell and ultimately a showdown with Lucifer. But, not all is as it seems and Jesus ain’t no Jesus.
