The writer’s room consisted of 7 writers, which included show creator, Sarah Deitrich. Each writer was responsible for writing one episode (except for E2, which was a co-writing effort). I was responsible for the Pilot episode, which can be found below in both written and final visual form. In addition, I was also an Executive Producer on the project. Those duties included development of story (structure, beats, outlines, character arc(s)), casting, production, stunt planning, SFX planning, and editing. I was also on set daily to ensure scripts were being adapted appropriately and to rectify dialogue, beats, or continuity errors on the fly as needed. Masterpiece was a wonderful experience that satisfied both the creative itch, but also allowed me to flex my Producer muscles to adapt to changes and provide support as needed across our talented crew and grueling 60-hour shoot in a 5-day span.
